Colorado Clouds

One evening in Colorado last week I ran down to the open space hoping to get a good sunset picture in the western sky over Mt. Evans. The western sky dwindled without much promising color. However, when I turned around to head back up the road to the cabin, the eastern sky presented its own stunning capture of the fading light of day. Just when you think things are done, God shows up in unexpected ways and places.

Oooohhhh! How cool is that?!? Do you think clouds look different from other locations? Maybe I am homesick, but even the kids have commented that the clouds are different here - that they don't see shapes in them like they used to. Great pictures!

I do think they look different in all the places I've lived. One thing I love about Texas is the amazing sunsets. The sky is SO BIG! Colorado, with high altitude, seems to get a special translucence to the clouds. I will post some white ones that were almost impossible to look at because of their incredible whiteness!
