Blue Star

I got into my wildflower books and identified this one as the Blue Star. I have rarely seen it, but it is definitely one of the 'stars' of the wildflower showing in our area this spring. Several fields close by are filled with its soft blue clusters atop tall stems. They lent themselves to typical Texas scenes in front of old fence posts, scattered among mesquite trees, and lining barbed wire fences.

I am delighted to find a flower that I have not identified or seen before. It reminds me that, when there seems to be no solution, there may be a 'new' thing just around the corner. With God all things are possible!

Stop by to see another 'new' thing tomorrow. It blew my mind!
